Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra And Family To Ring In The New Year At Ranthambore’s Suján Sher Bagh, Where Stays Start Around ₹55K A Night

As many people prepare to welcome the New Year with loud parties and late-night celebrations, the Gandhi family has chosen a very different path. This year, they are stepping away from the noise to spend the holiday in calm surroundings. Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, along with her husband Robert Vadra and son Raihan Vadra, is spending the New Year at Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan. Rahul Gandhi is also part of the family trip.

Raihan’s girlfriend, Aviva Baig, is also in Ranthambore, Congress insiders told the New Indian Express. Reports claim that she recently got engaged to Raihan, but the families have not officially confirmed the speculation. Close relatives from the Baig family and a few trusted friends have joined the Gandhi-Vadra family as well. Instead of crowded events, the family has picked Sujan Sher Bagh, one of the region’s most exclusive safari-style properties.

About The Luxurious Stay

Designed to show the charm of the 1920s era, the property feels more like an old-style safari camp than a modern hotel. Tents are set around a main campfire. Each tent has a teak-finished veranda that opens to the sounds and views of the forest. Guests can enjoy meals under the open sky, surrounded by the unique sounds of the forest.

As per ANI, during their stay, the Gandhi family plans to take safari rides inside Ranthambore National Park. They are expected to visit different areas of the park on separate days till January 2. The safaris give visitors a chance to spot tigers and other wild animals in their natural surroundings.

Sujan Sher Bagh offers different types of stays to suit various needs. Guests can choose the Tented Jungle Suite, which is designed like old safari camps from the past. These tents come with a private bathroom, a brass bathtub and an open stone shower. The glass and canvas walls open into the private veranda facing tall wild grass.

The Machhli Suite is named after a famous tigress of Ranthambore. It includes two tents placed next to each other. This option works well for families or friends travelling together.

For those looking for more privacy, the Royal Sher Suite features a single double bed suite walled off from the main camp. It has a private heated pool, an outdoor fire area, an open-air shower and a bathtub.

The Raj Bagh Suite is the most spacious option. With two bedrooms and a large pool deck, it is ideal for families or groups who want comfort, space and complete peace in nature.

Story Behind Sujan Sher Bagh

Jaisal Singh started his first wildlife camp, Sujan Sher Bagh, when he was only 21 years old. From the very beginning, as per The Outlook Traveller, his focus was clear. He wanted to protect nature and give back to the forests his family had cared for across three generations. The camp was created with the idea of responsible tourism, where guests could enjoy the wild while also learning to respect it.

Long before eco-friendly travel became popular, Jaisal built the camp in a way that caused minimal harm to the environment. He made systems to collect rainwater, restored damaged land and grew his own food. Local villagers were given jobs. The camp ran mostly without modern power, as they used oil lamps for light, fires for warmth and open fires for cooking.
