The blend of Gen-Z glitz and Bollywood nostalgia is sure to create a buzz. Nysa Devgan, Kajol and Ajay Devgn’s daughter, has set off a fashion storm by replicating Kareena Kapoor Khan’s iconic look from her hit song “Bole Chudiyan” from ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’. The 2026 version, designed by Manish Malhotra, is a blend of fashion and cinematic history.
Nysa’s ensemble, which features ombre shades, seductive details, and strong silhouettes, is the embodiment of “Poo” while reinventing festive wear for the new age. It proves that Bollywood style is not just remembered but reinvented, adapted, and made to shine again.
Nysa Devgan’s 2026 Reinterpretation
Kareena Kapoor’s peach attire from the song “Bole Chudiyan” has lasted as long as other Bollywood outfits. Even after 25 years, the style is still a pop culture icon and helped define wedding fashion in the early 2000s. Modern bridal and sangeet fashion is still influenced by the original’s youthful brightness and joyful splendour, which was designed by Manish Malhotra.
However, Nysa’s version has given a more elegant and seductive look while retaining the colour scheme of peach and coral. Nysa’s ombre-coloured Lehenga, which has been decorated with sequins and floral motifs to increase its cinematic effect, transitions from peach to pink. This gives a self-assured look of high-end fashion, which is not a copy but a remake.
Taking to Instagram, designer Manish Malhotra described the legacy of the dress, writing: “Iconic 2001 Released Bollywood Blockbuster #kabhikhushikabhigham to all the costumes of @kareenakapoorkhan 💖being a part of PopCulture even today 25 years later.”

Bold Design Elements That Set It Apart
Nysa chose a bandeau-style top or strapless blouse with bold back embroidery to replace the conventional short-sleeved choli, giving it a contemporary, edgy feel. Nysa wore a lehenga with a thicker, linear sequin border at the bottom, while Kareena wore a flared palazzo with thread work and silver sequins scattered throughout.
Nysa chose simple yet elegant accessories to highlight the attire. She finished off her ensemble with simple rings, a striking bracelet, and diamond drop earrings. Her glowing skin, subtly flushed cheeks, brows, eyes, and lips were all equally exquisite. Soft side fringe and a sleek bun contributed to the overall appearance.
