From carved wood to brass and crimson florals, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s wedding decor blended heritage with modern elegance in Udaipur.

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s wedding embraced craft, culture and understated grandeur.
Some weddings impress with scale; others linger because of soul. The recent wedding of Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda belonged firmly to the latter – an immersive celebration where design told a story of lineage, memory and craft.
Set against the romantic stillness of Udaipur at the luxurious ITC Mementoes, the ceremony unfolded less like a spectacle and more like a carefully curated experience. Think temple architecture, terracotta hues and deep vermilion accents layered with florals, brass and carved wood – a palette that felt timeless rather than trendy.
Planned by RVR Eventz & Design, the decor leaned into quiet luxury, allowing tradition to take centre stage.
Spaces Framed Like Portraits
The bridal setting evoked the intimacy of a royal jharokha. An ivory, palki-inspired pavilion carved with floral filigree cradled the bride in soft daylight, transforming a simple portrait into something painterly. Instead of excess, the moment relied on texture – woodwork, shadow and stone-red flooring – to create drama.
Across the venue, installations resembled museum exhibits rather than decor props. Cabinets filled with brass vessels, miniature idols and cascading jasmine strands felt archival, almost devotional, turning heritage into living art.
Craft As The Core Language
Every corner carried the hand of an artisan. Brass lamps, tribal busts, antique figurines and carved pillars were styled against deep red backdrops, echoing the warmth of temple interiors. The effect was emotional as much as aesthetic – intimate, sacred and deeply rooted in culture.
Overhead, delicate gold filigree lamps floated beneath curtains of white blooms, creating a canopy that diffused sunlight into a soft glow. It was theatrical, yet hushed.
Florals, Feasts, And The Mandap Moment
The floral language stayed resolutely earthy: burnt orange marigolds, crimson roses and ivory blossoms spilling from oversized brass urns. Terracotta steps and arches amplified the palette, giving the entire setting a sun-baked richness.
By the lakeside, vintage chairs and red parasols created a garden-soirée mood, where guests dined against water and stone – a rare balance of grandeur and ease. At the heart stood the mandap: carved, muted, softened with cascading greens and white drapes. Structured yet breathable, it felt less like a stage and more like a sanctuary.
Rather than chasing spectacle, the wedding chose permanence with heirloom materials, spiritual motifs and craftsmanship that will age beautifully in photographs. In doing so, Rashmika and Vijay proved that true luxury isn’t louder; it’s layered, meaningful and deeply personal.
