Anne Hathaway returned to the 2026 Oscars in a Valentino floral gown with opera gloves and Bvlgari jewellery.

Some red carpet appearances feel less like fashion moments and more like cinematic scenes. At the Oscars 2026 held at the Dolby Theatre, Anne Hathaway delivered precisely that as she stepped out in a look that blended vintage glamour, couture craftsmanship and extraordinary high jewellery.
More than a decade after her last Oscars appearance, Anne Hathaway’s return felt both nostalgic and perfectly timed. The actor, long celebrated for her red carpet poise, once again demonstrated why she remains a fixture on best-dressed lists year after year.
A Valentino Silhouette With Dramatic Elegance
For the evening, Anne Hathaway wore a strapless floral mermaid gown by Valentino, styled in collaboration with her longtime stylist Erin Walsh. The black couture design featured intricate floral detailing that added depth and texture to the sculpted silhouette.
The dramatic mermaid cut created a statuesque shape, while matching opera-length gloves introduced an unmistakable Old Hollywood flourish. Together, the elements formed a look that felt both theatrical and refined – exactly the kind of elegance that thrives on the Oscars red carpet.
The ensemble also arrives amid renewed interest in The Devil Wears Prada universe, with rumours circulating about a themed Oscars moment tied to the forthcoming sequel. For fans of the iconic fashion film, the timing couldn’t feel more fitting.
The Debut Of Bvlgari’s Eclettica High Jewellery
If the gown provided the drama, the jewellery delivered a true spectacle. Anne debuted exceptional pieces from Bvlgari’s forthcoming Eclettica High Jewellery collection. At the centre of her look was the Neoclassical Starlight necklace, a luminous platinum creation set with an extraordinary 8.02-carat pear-cut Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond. Surrounded by a constellation of pear, round and step-cut diamonds totalling over 35 carats, the necklace radiated exceptional brilliance.
Inspired by the sculptural harmony of works by Antonio Canova, the piece required more than 850 hours of meticulous craftsmanship. Anne paired it with Daphne’s Laurel earrings, set with Fancy Intense Yellow diamonds and white diamonds, along with two platinum rings featuring striking yellow stones.
Anne complemented the couture and jewellery with a glam rooted in classic elegance. Her hair was styled in soft curls swept into a romantic half-up, half-down arrangement, lending the look a gentle vintage sensibility. Rosy-toned makeup, complete with softly flushed cheeks and a polished pink-nude lip, added warmth without distracting from the couture and high jewellery.
