The Met Gala is an exclusive annual fundraising gala for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City, held on the first Monday in May.
The event will be attended by the rich and famous, but a few celebrities won’t be in attendance.

Apart from US President Donald Trump, most of the aforementioned celebrities are known for criticizing the event after one or more attendances.
Anna Wintour, as the long-running Chair of the Met Gala since 1995, acts as the ultimate authority and “gatekeeper” of the event.
During a 2017 appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, the host asked Wintour who she would never invite back to the esteemed event.
With no hesitation, she answered, “Donald Trump.”
