U.S.-Iran airstrikes intensify as Tehran says deal is in ‘crisis phase’

The United States and Iran traded heavy airstrikes on Monday, continuing days of renewed bombing as the countries fight for control of the Strait of Hormuz and a tentative truce has all but collapsed.

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps launched missile and drone strikes at U.S. military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain and claimed to have successfully hit missile, drone and fuel facilities, the official Islamic Republic News Agency reported.
