Kareena Kapoor’s morning routine is refreshingly simple: she starts her day with a serving of fresh fruit and a large glass of room-temperature water.
When asked about her diet and ‘unbreakable skin commandments,’ Kareena emphasised that a balanced diet is essential for glowing skin. She explained, “I feel when you’re well-nourished, you feel happy, and it shows on your skin. Strict diets often lead to binge eating, which can cause breakouts. Stick to three wholesome meals, or even four—healthy, satisfying food that brings you joy.”
Her top three skincare rules are straightforward but powerful: First, never sleep with makeup on; second, drink at least three litres of water daily; and finally, always keep your moisturiser close by, no matter where you are in the world.
In the same conversation, Kareena also shared her go-to remedy for breakouts. She suggested that dabbing a bit of toothpaste on the affected area can sometimes work wonders.
During the interview, the beauty also shared a skincare home remedy she and her family swear by. The actor said, “Almond oil—on a lazy day at home we just soak ourselves up in it! A combination of that and yoghurt is great for the face too, if you have dry skin.”
When discussing her skincare routine, Kareena emphasised her minimalist approach to products, focusing on essentials rather than an elaborate regimen. “My skin tends to be on the dryer side, so I always have my moisturiser handy,” she explained. She also shared her nightly ritual of applying a night cream to help repair her skin and incorporating a hydrating mask once a week.
For warmer days, she likes to spritz her face with mist to stay refreshed. Kareena also underscored the importance of hydration, both inside and out: “I drink at least three litres of water every day. No matter where I am, hydration is my mainstay,” she concluded.
