The first major lake effect snow system of the season hit parts of Pennsylvania and western New York on Saturday, with totals expected to exceed 5 feet. Plows have been working furiously to clear the roads, with some cars getting trapped on highways. The storm hitting during the busy Thanksgiving travel weekend, with Sunday set to be one of the busiest travel days of the year. NBC News’ George Solis has the latest.
