File this under: rumours that got way too real.
Anna Faris is officially not joining Toy Story 5 – despite the internet already casting her in its collective imagination.
In a new interview, the actress laughed off the speculation, saying, “No, that’s just a rumor. I’m not in it. I wish I was. I love doing voice work, but no, that was an internet rumour.”
Even her parents got swept up in it.
“My mom and dad called me, and they’re like, ‘You’re in it?’ I was like, ‘No, but I wish I was.’”
Honestly? Same energy as fans.
While Pixar dreams may be on pause, Faris is stepping back into familiar chaos with Scary Movie 6, reprising her iconic role as Cindy Campbell. And if you are expecting a polished, locked script – think again.
“You do get sent a script, but you know that things are going to change,” she shared. “It’s always been a collaborative team spirit.”
Translation: except improve, surprises, and jokes that definitely were not in the first draft.
Off-screen, Faris is alos keeping things refreshingly real about parenting. Asked if her 13-year-old son Jack (whom she shares with Chris Pratt) will watch the film, she admitted: “Yeah. Is that awful? … I don’t know if I would tell every parent… but I do feel like his situation is a little different.”
As for the movie itself? Co-creator Marlon Wayans calls it a “rebooquel” – not a reboot, not a sequel… something in between.
Scary Movie 6 hits theaters June 5. No toys involved – just chaos.
