Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are gearing up for their Wicked performance at the 97th Annual Academy Awards
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at the Golden Globes First-Time Nominee Celebration, the Disney alum showed her interest in performing with Erivo at the Oscars
“Of course, we love singing with each other,” Grande gushed over her potential live performance with Erivo.
“I’ll sing together absolutely anywhere anytime, especially in celebration of Wicked. And I love her, that’s my sister. Say the word, and we’ll be there,” she added.
For those unversed Erivo is nominated for her performance as Elphaba while Grande is nominated for her role as Glinda under the category of best performance by a female actor in a supporting role.
Previously, in a chat with People, Grande shared her excitement and called it a “surreal” moment that she and her Wicked costar Erivo both received the nods at the award show.
“We were just crying together and screaming, and we sent each other flowers immediately,” Grande told the outlet
“I’m just really deeply proud of her and of us together and the work that we’ve done. And to see it be recognized is just so — the weight is more than I could have imagined,” the 31-year-old singer added.
