Blake Lively releases first statement after Justin Baldoni lawsuit dismissal
Blake Lively finally broke her silence after a judge dismissed Justin Baldoni’s countersuit against her and Ryan Reynolds in surprising move.
The A Simple Favor star took to Instagram to open up about the latest development in her fight against her It Ends With Us co-star.
Judge Lewis J. Liman decided to throw out the $400 million lawsuit which had claimed that Lively and Reynolds tried to blackmail Baldoni and hurt his reputation, while also dismissing his $250 million defamation case against The New York Times.
In her statement shared on her Instagram stories, Lively wrote, “Like so many others, I’ve felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit, including the manufactured shame that tries to break us.”
“While the suit against me was defeated, so many don’t have the resources to fight back,” she added.
“I’m more resolved than ever to continue to stand for every woman’s right to have a voice in protecting themselves, including their safety, their integrity, their dignity and their story.
“With love and gratitude for the many who stood by me, many of you I know. Many of you I don’t. But I will never stop appreciating or advocating for you,” she wrote.
