Cardi B has accused YouTuber Tasha K of hiding assets after filing for bankruptcy in the aftermath of a 2022 defamation lawsuit that awarded the rapper nearly $4 million in damages.
The lawsuit stemmed from Tasha K’s false claims about Cardi’s drug use, STDs, and alleged prostitution.
According to Daily Mail, Tasha K filed for bankruptcy in May, reporting less than $60,000 in assets. However, a judge ruled that her bankruptcy would not discharge the $3.4 million she still owes Cardi B.
Moreover, in recent court filings, Cardi alleged that Tasha failed to disclose several domestic and offshore trusts, reportedly located in the Cook Islands, Nevis, and Georgia.
Meanwhile, Cardi’s legal team also claimed that Tasha transferred assets to her husband’s name to shield them.
As per the publication, despite filing for bankruptcy, Cardi believes Tasha is living lavishly, citing her $7,000-a month apartment and social media posts flaunting expensive clothing, handbags, and jewelry.
Additionally, Cardi is now seeking to have the bankruptcy case dismissed and is calling a two-year ban on refiling.
Furthermore, the defamation lawsuit, filed in 2019, resulted in a jury finding Tasha liable for slander, libel, and invasion of privacy.
Cardi testified during the trial that Tasha’s defamatory statements caused her emotional distress, leading to suicidal thoughts.
Tasha K, who also faced legal issues with comedian Kevin Hart over alleged extortion, has yet to respond to the latest allegations.
