The National Cherry Blossom Festival held its opening ceremony last weekend, but now the annual celebration is hitting high gear. The flowering trees at the Tidal Basin are at peak bloom this weekend, just in time for some of the festival’s biggest events, whether you want to go fly a kite, explore a museum with the kids, groove to bands or watch fireworks at the Wharf.
