Rysa Panday made her debut at Le Bal in Paris. She turned heads at the high-society event in an Elie Saab gown.
Actor Ananya Panday’s sister, Rysa Panday, recently represented India and made her debut at the Le Bal des Débutantes 2024 (also known as Le Bal). She followed her older sister’s footsteps who had earlier made her debut at the prestigious high society event when she was 19. Rysa stunned in a pastel blue and silver Elie Saab gown as she made her debut.
Dressed in a stunning pastel blue and silver gown by renowned designer Elie Saab, Rysa exuded grace and sophistication. The full-length gown captured the essence of modernity and tradition. With its intricate patterns, a symphony of deep burgundies, faded golds, and midnight blues, the gown was the perfect choice for the occasion.
The off-shoulder gown had a fitted bodice which mimicked a Victorian-era corset. It gradually transitioned into a voluminous floor-grazing skirt from the bodice and it came with a long train. With a sweetheart-style neckline, the gown was adorned with floral embroidery. Rysa continued, “Le Bal is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I’m grateful for the chance to represent India here. I am deeply honoured to support ARCFA and Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, both dedicated to providing life-saving care for children with heart defects. Le Bal is more than a celebration of elegance; it’s a platform for change. Knowing that 100% of the funds raised go directly to these causes makes this event truly special.”
Speaking about her experience at Le Bal, Rysa said, “Dancing with my dad was a moment I’ll never forget. It was surreal to be part of such a beautiful tradition, representing not just myself but also my Indian roots on a global stage.” The father-daughter waltz is one of the highlights of Le Bal. Rysa twirled with Chunky Panday who opted for a black tuxedo with gold applique details.
Le Bal is an invite-only event where the founder, Ophélie Renouard, handpicks the debutantes from across entertainment, arts, culture, business, and royalty. Speaking about picking Rysa, Ophelie said, “What makes Rysa special is how seamlessly she bridges cultures. She is proud of her Indian heritage yet globally minded, humble, hardworking, and eager to make a difference.”
Previously Le Bal has also been attended by Shanaya Kapoor and Isha Ambani to name a few.
