Anne Hathaway looked every inch the spring dream as she graced the red carpet for the highly anticipated movie ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’. With the film’s premiere just weeks away on May 1, the 43-year-old actress delivered yet another show-stopping appearance that perfectly captured the essence of romantic, feminine spring style (a look Miranda Priestly would probably just give a passing nod).
Styled by Erin Walsh, Hathaway wore a statement-making ruffled creation by Susan Fang from the brand’s AW26 collection. The dress was a whimsical explosion of delicate, layered ruffles in soft pastel tones, blending light blue and white for an ethereal, cloud-like effect. The multi-tiered, feathery ruffles cascaded gracefully from the bodice down to a fluttering midi-length hem, creating beautiful movement and volume with every step.
In the latest appearance in Shanghai, China on April 10, Anne radiated elegance in a white-blue, ultra-feminine unique ruffled gown that appeared to be from the same dreamy aesthetic. The dress featured intricate, multi-layered tulle and feather-like ruffles throughout the skirt, giving it a soft, cloud-like silhouette that floated beautifully.
Delicate spaghetti straps adorned with subtle sparkling embellishments added a touch of glamour to the bodice, while the fitted waist accentuated her figure before dramatically flaring out into the voluminous, tiered ruffled skirt. She completed the look with clear Gianvito Rossi heels featuring a striking silver pointed toe, retailing at $995, which added a modern, edgy contrast to the ultra-romantic dress.
Hathaway’s signature Andy Sachs-inspired fringe (bangs) was perfectly styled, framing her face with youthful charm and tying the look back to her iconic character from the original film. Her makeup was fresh and glowing, with a soft pink flush and a radiant smile that lit up the red carpet.
She was joined by her legendary co-star Meryl Streep, who opted for a sophisticated blue Saint Laurent dress with a turtleneck and a black ribbon tied at the waist, styled by Micaela Erlanger.
In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Hathaway reflected warmly on her journey with the franchise and its fans: “I was still a 22-year-old mess of a human when I made The Devil Wears Prada. And so, we’ve grown up together, and I’m so happy for them and how their lives are unfolding.”
