In today’s fast-paced world, many women find themselves constantly balancing professional ambition with family responsibilities, emotional labour, and social commitments. The pressure to excel across multiple roles often leaves little time for rest or self-reflection. Over time, this relentless pace can lead to burnout, emotional strain, and mental fatigue.

Wellness practitioners say that alternative energy practices such as Pranic Healing are increasingly being explored as tools to help women regain balance in the midst of demanding lifestyles.

According to Sumi Lazar, Pranic Healing Instructor, Healer and Trustee, World Pranic Healing, India, the modern woman’s daily routine often involves managing several layers of responsibility simultaneously.

“The modern woman is always juggling multiple roles — professional commitments, caring for family, emotional management, and social obligations,” Lazar explains. “This constant juggling leaves very little time for relaxation, introspection, or self-care. Over time, it can lead to physical exhaustion, emotional disturbances, and mental fatigue.”

Pranic Healing, she says, offers a structured approach to restoring balance by focusing on the body’s energy system.

The practice is based on the concept that the body has an energy field — often referred to as the energy body — which influences emotional and physical well-being. Through techniques designed to cleanse and energise this field, practitioners aim to release stress and restore vitality.

“Through cleansing and energising techniques, accumulated stress and emotional baggage can be flushed out, allowing fresh energy to move in,” Lazar says.

One of the commonly practiced techniques is Twin Hearts Meditation, which Lazar notes helps cultivate emotional stability and inner calm.

“Twin Hearts Meditation can help women tap into feelings of peace, compassion, and emotional stability, enabling them to deal with life’s challenges with composure rather than consternation,” she adds.

Alongside meditation, Pranic Breathing techniques are also used to regulate energy levels and improve mental clarity.

“These breathing exercises can quickly energise the body and focus the mind, particularly on stressful days,” Lazar explains.

While the modern workplace continues to evolve, the emotional demands placed on women often remain invisible. Many women continue to carry the dual responsibility of professional performance and caregiving roles at home.

Sriram Rajagopal, Director, World Pranic Healing, India, says this dual expectation often creates an emotional imbalance that goes unrecognised.

“Women today lead with remarkable resilience, balancing emotional responsibility with professional excellence,” Rajagopal says. “Their ability to nurture growth at both work and home is a powerful strength, but it often comes with unseen emotional demands.”

For Rajagopal, the key lies in helping women develop tools that allow them to support their own well-being with the same care they extend to others.

“Just as women support others, they also need equal support in safeguarding their own well-being,” he notes.

Pranic Healing, he explains, offers a structured way for women to reconnect with themselves and restore internal balance.

“Through practices such as Pranic Breathing exercises, Twin Hearts Meditation, and Pranic Healing techniques, women can release accumulated stress, overcome self-doubt, and restore inner equilibrium,” Rajagopal says.

When the body’s energy system is balanced, he adds, it can also influence emotional clarity and confidence.

“When the energy body is balanced, confidence arises naturally and decision-making becomes clearer,” he explains.

Importantly, practitioners emphasise that these techniques are designed to be integrated into everyday life rather than practiced in isolation.

By incorporating short breathing exercises, meditation, and energy awareness into daily routines, women can move beyond simply managing stress to developing a deeper sense of calm and resilience.

Rajagopal believes that the broader message of Pranic Healing is ultimately about encouraging women to prioritise themselves.

“Pranic Healing encourages women to value and nurture themselves as deeply as they care for others,” he says. “When that balance is restored, they can pursue professional growth, personal aspirations, and life’s complexities with clarity, purpose, and renewed vitality.”

As conversations around mental health, burnout, and emotional well-being become more prominent, practices that encourage intentional pauses and self-regulation are gaining attention.

For many women navigating the constant demands of modern life, the ability to reset, physically, mentally, and emotionally, may be as important as the ambition that drives them forward.
