Drew Barrymore shared a deeply sentimental jewellery purchase during The Drew Barrymore Show. During an episode featuring People We Meet on Vacation star Emily Bader, the 50-year-old actress revealed a stunning new moonstone ring she bought on a trip to Bacalar, Mexico.

Pointing to the band – adorned with a large central stone flanked by two smaller ones – Drew Barrymore explained its personal meaning: “What this year was telling me is that 2026 needs to have moonstone in it, so then I found this ring, which is me and my two daughters in moonstone.”

The Charlie’s Angels star shares daughters Olive, 13, and Frankie, 11, with ex-husband Will Kopelman, to whom she was married from 2012 to 2016. Drew Barrymore has often spoken about her close bond with her girls, and this accessory beautifully commemorates their special connection.

The actor also got inked recently with a tattoo symbolic of her journey to motherhood. She said, “They’re for me and my daughters,” and showed off the design on her arm, which is of three fish surrounded by a larger, more subtle fish tattoo that represents who she is now.

“I was in my therapy session and I was like, I think one of the sardines is me as a young girl alongside my young daughters and I need to be…holding this and holding that space, if you will, for my younger self,” she explained.

Significance of a Moonstone Ring

Moonstone in a ring carries deep symbolic meaning rooted in its ethereal, milky glow resembling moonlight. It represents intuition, feminine energy, and emotional balance and is often called the lover’s stone or stone of new beginnings.

Love & Relationships: Symbolises eternal love, passion, and harmony – ideal for engagement or wedding rings. In Indian tradition, it’s sacred to Lakshmi and Vishnu, believed to awaken love and ensure marital bliss.

Spiritual Growth: Enhances psychic abilities, clairvoyance, and inner wisdom; worn to calm emotions, purify aura, and support fertility/pregnancy.

June Birthstone: For people born in June, the moonstone represents nurturing, motherhood, and lunar cycles – perfect for personal transformation or healing.

In jewellery, moonstone adds mystical allure but requires gentle care to preserve its light shimmer.

Drew Barrymore on unfair beauty standards for child actors in Hollywood

Reflecting on unfair beauty standards that were imposed upon her as a young child, Drew Barrymore teared up as she gazed upon a photo of her 10-year-old self when she recalled being told that she was “too heavy” and didn’t “look how you did in E.T.”.

The Golden Globe-winning actor made her screen debut at age 4 and said during The Drew Barrymore Show, “This picture… It just breaks my heart. I was 10 years old and I just was told by everybody, ‘You don’t look how you did in E.T. You’re too heavy. You’re not blonde enough. You’re not old enough. You’re too young. You’re not tall.’ And everybody just started getting involved in the way I looked.”

The teary-eyed actor added, “It’s like, I don’t know what I’m supposed to be for other people. And you don’t know yourself at 10. What I’m so relieved about now is that it’s four decades later, I’m 50… I do know what’s important now, and the look in my eyes is so clear.”
