Once submitted, you’ll receive a QR code—just flash it at immigration, get it scanned, and breeze through in no time. This process starts from April 1, 2026.

Who Must Fill e-Arrival Card?
Foreign visitors and Overseas Citizens Of India (OCI) cardholders will have to fill this card upon arrival. These includes tourists, students, business travellers – anyone from abroad entering India.

-Passport number, issue date, expiry date
-Flight details: number, arrival date, airport

How To Submit e-Arrival Card?
There are three main ways – Bureau of Immigration site: boi.gov.in, Indian Visa online portal: indianvisaonline.gov.in, Su-Swagatam app (download from app stores)

Pick a platform, sign up if needed, fill in your details, and hit submit—it’s that simple. Once done, download or screenshot your QR code (a printed copy can be a handy backup). At immigration, just pull it up on your phone, get it scanned, answer a couple of questions, and you’re in.

You’ll still be allowed into India—no bans or fines—but it won’t be as smooth. Expect extra scrutiny at immigration, possible side checks, and longer wait times, especially during peak hours.
