A special summer mountain train service has been inaugurated, connecting Mettupalayam in Coimbatore district to the scenic hill station of Ooty in Nilgiri district. In addition to this, the Salem Railway Division has introduced a special summer service to accommodate the growing number of tourists during the peak season.
