Touristy rush, packed itineraries, and early mornings, that’s all old. Here’s discovering a new way to explore Bali, the Four Seasons way.

A perfect guide for a week-long trip to Bali.
Our busy schedules and heavy workloads often make us crave a break, to pause and truly relax. And that’s when you pack your bags and head to a destination that offers the luxury of simply sitting back, without having to think, plan everything, or follow a packed itinerary. That’s when the search for the perfect property begins.
With deadlines to meet and the constant hustle of being on my toes, an invitation to Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay felt like the perfect opportunity to slow down and truly soak in the beauty, without a touristy mindset.
I visited Bali for a week and spent the first four days at their Jimbaran property, before travelling to their Sayan property through an unforgettable river rafting experience. And now, to ease the pain of planning everything, here’s a perfect guide on how you can turn a week-long trip into pure therapy: covering everything you can do within the resort, without having to step out into the scorching summer heat.
The Healing Village
What’s better than a two-hour-long spa session to begin your trip? After being welcomed with refreshing drinks and checking into your villa, which, by the way, comes with a private pool and an ocean view in the backdrop, it’s time for a spa experience that has the potential to give you one of the best sleeps ever.
The spa treatment I recommend at their Jimbaran property is the ‘Gemstone Joy Treatment’. It includes a massage using special gemstones aligned with the body’s chakras, dipped in essential oils and heated to elevate the experience. The 120-minute treatment helps your body slow down, setting the mood for deep relaxation, and turns into an awe-inspiring bliss.
Somewhere similar to the above-mentioned treatment is the Restu Bumi Spa at the Sayan property. This treatment is also something that I would recommend to anyone travelling to the property. What makes it a little different from the above-mentioned one is that, via traditional instruments, aromatic local herbs, and a warming toe-to-crown gemstone massage, this treatment helps you to relax and reset while connecting to Bali’s traditions.
Cooking Class + Arak Tasting
Cooking on a vacation? Yeah, I know, it sounds like a task. But trust the staff at their Jala restaurant to turn it into a fun game. At the restaurant, the cooking class includes a garden tour, followed by the luxury of preparing a meal with your own hands, using ingredients freshly plucked from the garden.
This whole process, which sounds like a hectic idea, soon turns into one of the most unexpectedly satisfying and refreshingly new experiences, leaving you with a plate full of self-made food, a cute picture of you wearing an apron and a chef’s cap, and a lifelong memory.
Another specially curated experience that turned out to be a highlight was their Arak tasting session. Arak, Bali’s traditional spirit, is reimagined at Four Seasons’ Telu bar, where the team elevates it with unique infusions and inventive pairings. What could have been a simple drink transforms into a playful, flavour-forward experience, making every sip feel both indulgent and memorable.
Private Sacred Nap
How would you react if you were told that, during a week-long vacation, one of the things on your to-do list would be to sleep like a baby in the lap of Mother Nature? Well, it’s true. At their Sayan property, the Four Seasons provides a unique experience where they make you take an afternoon “air nap” suspended from the ceiling of the bamboo Dharma Satya in an aerial silk hammock overlooking a breathtaking waterfall. This experience allows you to nod off while listening to the sounds of nature and the life story of Buddha as told by an orator.
Mixology Master Class
Going on a vacation and creating your favourite cocktail/mocktail can be fun if it is at Four Seasons’ Sokasi… reason? The staff, beautiful backdrop, breezy cold winds, and a happy mood. At Sokasi, you get to reimagine their classic drinks using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, aged to perfection in teakwood barrels.
The Fun Part
Yes, relaxing and taking a break is all good and interesting, but at the same time, you do need some action and drama. Management is well aware of what their guests want; therefore, they offer a specialised river-rafting experience, ensuring safety under the guidance of trained rafters. During this two-hour journey, you will raft, navigate obstacles, and may fall into the water, but to be honest, that’s the best part. This river rafting experience helps guests enjoy the ride from their Jimbaran Valley to the Sayan resort.
If doing nothing is this fun, trust me, you’ll want to do it every day. This week-long experience might just make you hate vacations filled with packed itineraries and rushed mornings. This trip is all about good food, better views, and a whole lot of slowing down.
