Timings for Kartik Shukla Dwadashi:

• Begins: November 12, Tuesday, at 4:04 PM

• Ends: November 13, Wednesday, at 1:01 PM

• Auspicious timing for Tulsi Vivah: 5:29 PM to 7:53 PM on November 12

Rituals and Procedure for Tulsi Vivah:

1. Before the auspicious time, all family members should dress traditionally, as they would for a wedding ceremony.

2. Prepare a mandap (decorative canopy) in a courtyard, rooftop, or worship area for the ceremony. Use sugarcane to build the mandap and decorate it with flowers.

3. Place the Tulsi plant in a pot on a wooden platform. Offer items such as rice, flowers, garlands, turmeric, vermilion, sixteen beauty items (Solah Shringar), a red sari or dupatta, and sacred offerings to Tulsi.

4. Place Lord Shaligram in the pot. Offer sesame, turmeric, yellow flowers, milk, and other offerings to him. Fruits such as jujube, radish, spinach, and Indian gooseberry (amla) are also offered to both.

5. Recite the Mangala Ashtaka during the Tulsi Vivah ceremony, perform aarti for Goddess Tulsi, and circle the Tulsi plant 11 times.

6. Seek blessings of happiness and prosperity from Goddess Tulsi and Lord Shaligram. Conclude by distributing the prasadam from the Tulsi Vivah.
