The highly anticipated clash between Pakistan and India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is set to take place in Lahore on the first of March, according to Indian media reports citing an ICC Board member.

This match, a highlight for cricket fans worldwide, is scheduled to be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Additionally, all of India’s matches will take place at this single venue in Lahore.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already submitted the Champions Trophy schedule to the International Cricket Council (ICC). However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has yet to approve it.

An ICC Board member shared, “The PCB has submitted the draft of the 15-match ICC Champions Trophy. Seven games will be held in Lahore, three in Karachi, and five in Rawalpindi.”

According to the proposed schedule, Group A features Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand, while Group B includes England, South Africa, Australia, and Afghanistan.

All participating countries have expressed their support for the Champions Trophy to the ICC. The BCCI will finalise its stance on the tournament after consultations with the Indian government.

The proposed dates for the Champions Trophy span from 19 February to 9 March, with 10 March designated as a reserve day.

Last month, the PCB sent the schedule of next year’s Champions Trophy to the ICC for final approval, detailing that the tournament will be held across Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.

Lahore will host seven matches, including the final. Karachi’s National Stadium is set to host the opening match and one of the semi-finals, totalling three matches. Rawalpindi will host five games, including the other semi-final.
