The Los Angeles Dodgers slugger takes home his first Derby title after outlasting Kansas City Royals star Bobby Witt Jr. in the final round.
It was an upset-filled night in Arlington as New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso, Baltimore Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson and hometown star Adolis Garcia of the Texas Rangers were all eliminated in the first round, paving the way for Hernandez, Witt, Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm and Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez to take center stage at Globe Life Field.
