Asia’s richest person Mukesh Ambani’s elder son, Akash, has gone viral for his “humble” gesture after he was hit with a fan’s phone following an Indian Premier League (IPL) match last week.

After his father’s team, Mumbai Indians, proved victorious over Punjab Kings, Akash, 32, was congratulated by fans in the audience as he walked past them, Newsweek reported.

He stopped to interact with fans and asked for one of their phones for a selfie, but it didn’t go as planned.

Upon his request, multiple excited cricket enthusiasts threw their devices at Akash, who ended up getting hit by one as he tried to catch several at once.

However, instead of arguing further, the son of Indian multinational conglomerate Reliance Industries’ CEO, picked up the phone, clicked some selfies with fans, and threw it back.

After playing eight games, Mumbai Indians are sitting in the seventh slot. They have eight points in their kitty. Mumbai Indians will next face Delhi Capitals on Saturday, April 27.
