Georgina Rodriguez is sharing her two cents on her fiancé Cristiano Ronaldo’s timing of proposing to her.

In her most straightforward reaction so far, it’s “the least he could offer” after nearly a decade together.

“It’s gorgeous,” Rodriguez first gushed about her engagement ring to Elle Spain on Wednesday. “It’s the least he could offer me after 10 years of waiting,” the influencer then added.

Rodriguez recalled being stunned by the massive oval-cut diamond, but admitted she didn’t even open it in the sunlight until the following day.

“The truth is, when he proposed, it was the last thing on my mind. It took me a long time to process the enormous stone he gave me. I was so shocked that I left it in my room and didn’t open it in the sunlight until the next day,” she told the magazine.

Rodriguez also hinted that their upcoming wedding will be quite intimate. “It will be a small wedding, 100%, without a doubt.”

Ronaldo, 40, and Rodriguez, 31, revealed their engagement in August, more than eight years after their first public appearance together at the 2017 Best FIFA Football Awards.

The ring is estimated to weigh up to 37 carats and could be valued at up to $5 million.

During a November interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo explained he chose the ring because it was Rodriguez’s “dream to have a good stone.”

He also said it was their daughters who encouraged him to pop the question.

The couple shares five children, including twins Eva Maria and Mateo, 8; Alana, 8; Bella, 3; and Ronaldo’s 15-year-old son, Cristiano Jr. They also experienced the loss of Bella’s twin brother, Ángel, in 2022.
