One million Dunkin’ Donuts customers nationwide can get their hands on a free coffee today.
On Monday, the coffee chain shared a video on its Instagram Story of a woman hanging up a flyer with a photo of an iced coffee that read: “WANTED. Crime: Causing daily dependency. Status: Active.”
The bottom of the flyer read: “Bounty — 1,000,000 free coffees. Tuesday. Turn yourself in to Dunkin’.”
Customers must order through Dunkin’s app and enter the promo code “COFFEEISFREE” in the Offers & Rewards section after 9:30 a.m. ET to claim their free drink.
However, there are certain limitations to the promotion, The Independent has learned. Cold Brew and Extra-Large Hot Coffee are not included, and customers are limited to one free drink each.

The coffee giveaway comes days before Dunkin’ is set to bring back its viral 48-ounce drink buckets. According to food blogger Markie Devo, when customers order an iced coffee or refresher May 22, they can have it served in the massive Beverage Buckets, designed with a unique lid, handle and straw.
However, the price of the buckets is unknown, and they will only be available at participating locations while supplies last.
When Dunkin’ tested out the buckets in several Massachusetts and New Hampshire stores in February, fans received a coffee for $8.99 and a refresher for $9.49. At the time, some customers were overjoyed at the idea of the potentially monstrous caffeine intake, while others were frustrated by the limited release.

The massive bucket isn’t the only new offer at Dunkin’. As part of its summer menu release last month, the retailer hopped onto the dirty soda trend by launching the Dunkin’ Dirty Soda, which combines Pepsi, coffee milk and sweet cold foam.
For the summer season, Dunkin’ also introduced a line of Black Cherry refreshers and an Oreo-themed line-up of espresso, matcha and frozen drinks.
In January, the brand joined in on the viral protein craze and launched its first Protein Milk, which provides “a simple way to add protein to the drinks they already love,” according to a press release at the time. Packed with 15 grams of protein per medium-sized beverage, the special milk aims to offer a “creamy, familiar taste without a chalky texture or aftertaste.”
