Ex-FBI agent makes fresh plea to search for Nancy Guthrie in remote desert
As Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance continues to baffle investigators and public interest in the case supposedly begins to wane, a retired FBI agent has made a fresh plea.
Taking to X, Jennifer Coffinadaffer drew parallels from the Thelma Gaston case, a millionaire who had been missing for decades and was later confirmed to have been murdered.
Her post included a side-by-side picture of the two disappeared women, “Thelma Gaston/Nancy Guthrie,” she penned.
Later in the post, the former agent urged the authorities to continue the search and expand it to remote desert areas because there, Gaston’s remains were also found.
“Thelma was a millionaire who went missing 40 years ago when she was 80 YO. Her remains were finally found near Sugarloaf Mountain in a desolate area.”
“She was murdered by her paramore, Lawrence Remsen, who received life for killing her,” the post read.
Then, Coffindaffer made a stark appeal, “This is exactly why searches need to be conducted for Nancy. Unless they know where she is — search that desert.”
The former agent’s latest comments come on the heels of his previous suggestions to the investigators on how to locate the missing Nancy, who had not been seen since Feb. 1.
