Edie Falco recently got candid and opened up about working with James Cameron in Avatar: Fire and Ash.
The 62-year-old American actress, who is playing antagonist General Ardmore in the Avatar film franchise, attended the screening of the Mayor of Kingston season 4 in New York.
Conversing with PEOPLE magazine at the event, Falco reflected on her experience on the latest Avatar film by saying, “It’s another whole world.”
She said, “And it’s kind of a great honor to be a part of the stuff that James Cameron imagines and makes happen. He’s quite astonishing in that regard.”
“He’s invented machines and [new] ways of shooting, and to be invited to be a part of that, I’m very lucky,” the Law and Order True Crime actress remarked.
When the reporter asked her about working under the wings of Cameron in the Avatar franchise, Falco wholeheartedly admitted that it was “refreshing,” especially the Titanic creator’s approach, which is entirely different from other directors she had worked with.
“He’s like a little kid, you know? He’s got all kinds of ideas and [curiosity], and he has the sort of excitement about making a story that you do when you first start out. And that was very refreshing,” she explained.
It is pertinent to mention that Avatar: Fire and Ash was released on December 19, 2025.
