Gold and silver fall on MCX amid strong US dollar and crude, but global prices rise. Delhi to Mumbai 22K and 24K gold rates stay high as investors track volatility.

Gold and Silver Rates Today, March 23: Gold and silver prices in India have fallen sharply on Monday, March 23, as the strengthening of the US dollar and rising crude oil prices continue amid the ongoing Iran-US war. Both commodities witnessed a sharp sell-off on MCX, with prices falling up to 5.50 per cent.
On MCX, gold futures with an expiry on April 02, fell 5 per cent to trade at Rs 1,37,924 per 10 grams, whereas silver futures expiring on May 05 plunged 5.41 per cent to Rs 2,14,500 per kg.
In Mumbai, 24K gold was priced at around Rs 1,45,960 per 10 grams, while 22K gold stood at Rs 1,33,790 per 10 grams.
Silver also dropped to trade at Rs 2,44,900 per kg.
Brent crude oil futures maintained to hold around $112 per barrel-level.
