Green Day gives cheeky response to Charli XCX’s Coachella ‘headliner’ sash
Though Charli XCX has certainly got the last laugh after she took a playful dig at Green Day with a sash, the rock band didn’t hold back to clap back with a cheeky response.
After the punk band headlined the second week of Coachella they kept the musical vibe alive by engaging in a banter with the Brat hitmaker, who also performed at the 2025 music festival in Indio, California.
It all began when Charli XCX, whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison, shared a picture from a party during the first week of the annual music festival.
She sparked controversy with a t-shirt printed with a sash that read, “Miss Should Be Headliner,” following which Green Day drummer Tré Cool, gave a befitting reply by posting his picture with own sash made from toilet paper, read, “Actual Headliner.”
