North West’s coming to Instagram is expected to draw a reaction from Kanye West, because he has previously strongly opposed his kids having a presence on social media at a young age.
When his eldest child made an account at 12, there was a noticeable silence from his side. What’s more surprising is a recent TMZ report indicating that Ye, in an unexpected move, supports her using social media.
This reported stance, however, seems to be a U-turn from his past objections. In a post on his Instagram in 2022, he said, “SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST DIVORCE, I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO ABOUT MY DAUGHTER BEING PUT ON TIK TOK AGAINST MY WILL?”
In response, Kim at the time, responded on social media, “As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision—because it brings her happiness.”
“Divorce is difficult enough on our children, and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all,” she continued.
“From the beginning, I have wanted nothing but a healthy and supportive co-parenting relationship because it is what is best for our children, and it saddens me that Kanye continues to make it impossible every step of the way,” the Skims mogul noted.
This back-and-forth was from the time when the ex-couple had a public spat over co-parenting after their divorce.
However, it seems the duo has now hashed out their differences, as new photos of Christmas celebrations show them with their children, shared on social media.
