Princess Kate and Prince William have faced another setback with the resignation of a key staff member.
Demetra Pinsent, a prominent beauty executive, has stepped down as director of the Prince and Princess of Wales’s Royal Foundation after eight years as a trustee.
The 50-year-old Pinsent, who has been a driving force behind the growth of Charlotte Tilbury’s beauty empire, will continue in her role as chief executive of the brand, which has seen impressive expansion under her leadership.
Her departure comes four years after the Spanish company Puig acquired a majority stake in Charlotte Tilbury, valuing the British beauty brand at a staggering £1.3 billion.
The Royal Foundation now faces a major adjustment following the departure of Demetra Pinsent, who has stepped down after eight years as a trustee and director.
This latest change comes shortly after another key staff member, Rob Dixon, resigned from his position as royal equerry.
Dixon, who was appointed in 2020 when William and Kate were still the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, continued in the role after their elevation to Prince and Princess of Wales in 2022.
After four years of loyal service, Dixon will return to his duties with the Royal Navy.
Under her leadership, Charlotte Tilbury saw remarkable growth, culminating in a major 2020 acquisition by Spanish firm Puig, which valued the British beauty giant at a staggering £1.3 billion.
