Landman Season 2 has spiced things up by bringing Demi Moore’s Cami to the center, but there will be some unexpected deaths and turns as well.
“There’s definitely some twists, turns and surprises that are coming in the next episodes. There’s a few things that I don’t think anyone sees coming. I definitely didn’t,” said Jacob Lofland, who plays Coper in the show.
Landman premiered in 2024 and follows Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy, the corporate fixer working for an oil titan played by Jon Hamm.
Season one ended with Hamm’s character being killed and Tommy made the president of M-Tex. However, he got kidnapped and beaten by a cartel, who make him promise to work for them.
“There’s some awesome surprises — good and bad — but it’s all going to work out,” added Lofland in an interview with Us Weekly.
Sharing insight into the filming process, he said, “Whenever we started season 2, we started with two scripts and then they came out as normal TV does. So we were learning just as just as the audience is right now — week to week — we would figure out where we’re going next,” he recalled. “It definitely got its challenges when you get a script on a Friday and you start shooting that script Monday.”
Lofland went on to share his take on Cooper’s possible engagement to girlfriend Ariana (Paulina Chavez).
“[It’s] for the audience to make their own conclusion on [whether they are moving too fast]. Everyone has got their own opinion,” Lofland noted. “But the thing is, in the life of these characters, no one else is living it. It’s them.”
Landman season 2 premiered on November 16, 2025, on Paramount +.
