Salma Hayek feels ‘scary’ after achieving major milestone?

Salma Hayek has finally lifted the lid on celebrating a milestone.

At the 2026 Women in Film (WIF) Honors, presented by Max Mara, at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, on Thursday, November 5, the Mexican-American actress and film producer opened up to PEOPLE magazine about turning 60 on September 2 of this year.

Hayek told the outlet that she feels amazing entering a new era in her life. She actually feels “very optimistic.”

Articulating her thoughts, she said, “It sounded so scary in the 20s, in the 30s, in the 40s, even in the 50s. It’s not scary at all. Once you get here, it’s not bad at all.”

“I’m still doing what I love, and I have the blessing of my family and friends and health and energy and dreams. Let’s go,” the From Dusk Till Dawn star added.

Hayek then went on to talk about her official theatrical directorial debut with the film, Arena, saying, “I just directed my first film and that’s very exciting.”

When she was asked whether she plans to direct more films, she replied, “Well, let me finish this one. Let’s stay in the present. It’s great. The present is great.”

It is pertinent to mention that Salma Hayek’s upcoming directorial feature film, Arena, does not yet have an official release date.
