Swifties are left desiring more as Taylor Swift concluded her final show of the 21-month long Eras Tour.
The 34-year-old songstress marked the end with her last show in Vancouver on Sunday, December 8th.
The show followed the usual setlist and did not include a special announcement, contrary to the fans’ theories.
The Anti-Hero hitmaker’s fans had been anticipating an announcement since she debuted a new Reputation bodysuit on October 18th in Miami show.
Including the easter eggs through fashion statements, and her countdown during the last shows in Canada made fans believe that Swift would end the tour on an exciting note.
Following the end of the record-breaking tour, fans took to social media and expressed mixed reaction.
One comment on Instagram noted that Eras Tour “ended with no rep tv,” with crying emojis.
Another wrote, “Whats your opinion about the ending? At the end of European Leg(London) she brought Florence, ed and jack but now she did not even make a little speech – the show was totally the same and I wonder why.”
“idk why but the ending seemed a little underwhelming ,” a third chimed in.
Echoing the sentiment, other fans wrote, “The way no one got up to leave bc they were so sure she was gonna come back and announce and then the credits came on LOL me” and “I cannot believe she announced NOTHING??????”
However, one fan gave a different perspective as they penned, “for people saying it was underwhelming and got no announcements just remember the lyrics ‘and the voices that implore YOU SHOULD BE DOING MORE’ after giving us everything she had for this tour,” referring to Swift’s lyrics in Sweet Nothing.
But Swifties remain resilient in their hope as one hoped, “Do we think she’ll announce either Debut or Rep on her birthday as a present to us?”
The 14-times-Grammy winner clearly has some other plans for the big announcement.
