Tia Mowry is clearing the air after rumors of a “rift” with her twin sister, Tamera Mowry-Housley, have been circulating.
In a recent chat with ET, Tia, who shared the screen with her twin sister in the ABC hit sitcom Sister, Sister, opened up about where her bond with Tamera stands now.
“She’s just not as accessible as (she) used to be,” Tia told the outlet.
“I think everybody thought that there was this huge rift or distance, and that was not the case. So, it was new for everyone else, but it wasn’t new for us.”
Tia noted that “family is really important to” her and her twin sister and its always a priority.
The My Secret Santa actress shared how they have made a rule to contact at least once a week.
“My sister and I, we’ve made a pact that we will reach out to each other once a week and that’s on Sundays,” Tia shared.
“Sometimes it’s just, you know, a text. But as long as we check in and we talk to each other, you know, that’s what we do. You know, [but] the world doesn’t know that that’s what we do,” she added.
This came after a year Tia confessed on her WeTV reality show My Next Act that she “wished” they “were still close.”
For those unversed, the 45-year-old identical twins’ hit sitcom ran for six seasons from 1994 -1999.
