Cara Delevingne makes unexpected engagement confession
Cara Delevingne has shared something about her personal life that many fans did not know.
During a recent interview, the 33-year-old actress revealed that she has been engaged twice, even though she never ended up getting married.
Cara made the surprise confession while speaking on The Louis Theroux Podcast.
The conversation turned to her current girlfriend, musician Minke, when Louis Theroux asked if the couple were engaged.
The Paper Towns actress smiled and replied, “No. I have been engaged… I’ve been proposed to. I’ve also proposed to someone.”
The host looked surprised, but Cara laughed and chose not to reveal who her former fiancées were.
“Was that not known?” she joked. “(It) doesn’t matter (who to) now. They’re long gone. Sucks for them!”
Although she kept their names private, Cara has previously dated singer St. Vincent and actress Ashley Benson. Both relationships sparked engagement rumours at the time, but neither was ever confirmed.
The Suicide Squad star also explained why she accepted proposals even though marriage was never something she really wanted.
“It was something about actual marriage that I really didn’t believe in,” she said.
The star went on to explain that being engaged made her feel that a relationship was more secure.
The Only Murders in the Building star added that marriage always made her nervous because she loves her freedom. Even so, she still believes in a deep connection between two people and hopes to have children one day.
Cara Delevingne has been dating Minke since 2022.
