Led Zeppelin star admits they ‘wouldn’t sing with anybody’ except Stevie Nicks

Stevie Nicks contributed to the world of rock ‘n’ roll with her phenomenal Fleetwood Mac album of 1977, Rumours.

Additionally, Led Zeppelin was also no exception when it came to being contemporaries of the rock band, with their front man, Robert Plant, appreciating Nicks’ unique vocals that had a distinct raspiness.

When the 76-year-old, who has covered Led Zeppelin’s track, Rock and Roll, was offered to join Fleetwood Mac, she saw it as a path to achieve her life-long dream: to perform for a living.

In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, the Gypsy singer, keeping up her renowned “witchy” disposition, she stated, “Like the day that Mick [Fleetwood] called Lindsey [Buckinghm] and I and said, ‘Do you want to join Fleetwood Mac?’”

She continued, “And [he was] like, ‘Oh, well, I don’t know.’ And I’m like to Lindsey, ‘No. We’re joining this band.’ It was a moment of destiny.”

“Destiny” led her to be praised for her efforts in the genre of rock by Plant of Led Zeppelin, where he, in an interview with Interview magazine, mentioned, “That little lady ought to come and sing on one of our albums. If she were to come sing on one of our albums — it would…What’s her name? — Stevie.”

“I think it would only be impromptu. On other albums maybe just guesting for a track — on a very light-hearted level. I can’t see any serious turn one way or another. We just enjoy playing with each other. I wouldn’t like to go and sing with anybody else at all,” the Stairway to Heaven hitmaker had mentioned.
