Pakistan have opted to bat first against England in the second Test as they will look to defeat the visiting side after a loss in the first fixture.

Earlier in the first Test match, the Green Caps faced a disappointing defeat by an innings and 47 runs.

Today, the Englishmen will be led by their skipper Ben Stokes, who is making a comeback, following a hamstring injury, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). 

The all-rounder missed the entire five-day first Test due to being unfit. 

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s star batters, including Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Naseem Shah, will not be the part of the national squad for the remnant of the three-match Test series. 

They have been rested for the second and third Tests, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had announced which unveiling the squad for today’s match.
