Perrie Edwards just decided to be a solo artist now.
The 31-year-old songstress skyrocketed to stardom in 2011 after winning The X Factor competition alongside members Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirlwall who formed the girl group, Little Mix.
However, the Shoutout To My Ex singer left the group in 2022 after they went into a hiatus and has admitted that making music alone allowing her to balance career workload as well as motherhood, as she takes care of her three-year-old son, Axel.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at The National Lottery’s Big Bash in London’s OVO Arena Wembley, Edwards mentioned, “I think being a solo artist at the moment, I’m just getting to do what we want to do and just exploring and enjoying.”
She continued, “Right now, I’ve got the perfect balance of work life and mum life – juggling it all, and I don’t think Little Mix would’ve been easy.”
However, her preference does not mean that she has no soft spot left for the band, Little Mix or her girl members.
“I will always miss it, and I will love Little Mix forever, and ever,” Edwards mentioned.
In conclusion, mentioning the possibility of a Little Mix world tour, the artist stated, “We love each other so much, we’re best friends, so I feel like going on tour would be a dream – so maybe in the future we’ll do something again.”
