Meghan, Archie, Lilibet UK return thrown in doubt in little over 24-hours after confirmation

Prince Harry could very well be pulling the plug on his plans to bring his family back to the UK after he received an upsetting update from UK about security.

The Duke of Sussex has stressed on multiple occasions that he would only bring his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children back to his home country, only when he felt the security was up to par.

For over six months, he had been awaiting the announcement about taxpayer-funded security after it was put in review. Sadly for the Sussexes, The Sun and BBC confirmed that the request for police protection was rejected.

It had only been 24 hours when Harry and Meghan had confirmed that they would be travelling back to the UK to attend several engagements and visit the grave of the late Princess Diana.

However, sources have told The Sun that Harry is “reassessing things” after the security update. “Ultimately, he is going to do everything he can to find a way to bring them over safely.”

It is understood that the King’s offer to stay at the royal residence, likely Buckingham Palace, is still on the table. Harry and Meghan had reportedly accepted the from King Charles.

And while Police protection would be available while staying on a royal estate but for other engagements Harry would have to rely on the private security team travelling with him from California.

The family were due to be in the UK for around five days. It remains to be seen if the plan for next month is tweaked or cancelled.
