Darrell Sheets, the beloved Storage Wars personality who appeared on the A&E series for over a decade, has died at the age of 67.
Lake Havasu City Police confirmed on Wednesday that he died from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Officers were called to his residence in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, at around 2am on 22 April.
Sheets was pronounced dead at the scene, and the case was turned over to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s office for further investigation.
His family has been notified.
Sheets appeared in 163 episodes of Storage Wars between 2010 and 2023, becoming one of the show’s most recognisable faces.
The long-running A&E competition series follows buyers as they bid on the contents of abandoned storage lockers, competing to find the most valuable haul.
Beyond the show, Sheets made guest appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and on the Rachael Ray show.
In 2019, he suffered a heart attack, after which he retired to Arizona.
He had been running an antique store called Havasu Show Me Your Junk in Lake Havasu City in the years since.
