Ingredients For Paneer Samosa
For The dough
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (maida)
- 2 tablespoons oil
- A pinch of salt
- Water (as needed)
For The stuffing
- 200 grams paneer (grated)
- 1 green chilli (finely chopped)
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 2 tablespoons fresh coriander (finely chopped)
- ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- A little lemon juice
- Oil for frying
Step-by-Step Recipe
Prepare the dough
- In a mixing bowl, add flour, salt, and oil. Mix well with your hands.
- Gradually add water and knead into a firm dough.
- Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes.
Prepare the stuffing
In a bowl, mix grated paneer, chopped green chilli, ginger paste, coriander, red chilli powder, garam masala, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well and your stuffing is ready.
Assemble The samosas
- Divide the dough into small balls.
- Roll each ball into an oval shape and cut it in half.
- Take one half, apply water on the edges, and fold it into a cone shape.
- Fill the cone with the paneer mixture and seal the top.
- Repeat with the rest of the dough and stuffing.
Fry The samosas
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium flame.
- Fry the samosas until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove and place them on kitchen paper to drain excess oil.
