Young motivational speaker Jaya Kishori is quite popular among the masses. Considering that marriages today don’t last as much as they did earlier, when a person asked Jaya Kishori during a public interaction about it in an earlier video, the popular spiritual guru shared the reason behind it. She also shared an important tip that people should follow to find the right life partner who is compatible with them.
Speaking about the rise in failed marriages these days, Jaya Kishori said in a video which is posted on her official YouTube channel, “Marriage is an important decision in one’s life. It is such a big decision about spending the rest of one’s life and it cannot be taken in just a matter of knowing someone for one or two months. Earlier marriages worked for many years because women used to hesitate and not speak up for themselves, even when they experienced domestic violence. But now things have changed and women have started speaking up for themselves.”
Adding to it, she further said “Another aspect is that people don’t think logically; they just fall in love and it’s only later when they slowly get to know a person’s true nature and habits which might not be similar to theirs.”
Talking about the things one should keep in mind while choosing the right life partner, she said, “I tell this to people who opt for arranged marriages too– take your time to know your partner well before taking the plunge to marry them. Would anyone ever behave badly in just one or two meetings? It’s only in three or four months when they’ll put their guards down and show their true colours.”
Sharing an important tip on how to know someone better, she shared, “It is said that to know someone, just let them speak and listen to them and they’ll reveal their true identity.”
Commenting about divorces becoming too normal these days, the popular spiritual guru also said that one should take time to know a prospective partner and if they are not compatible, then they shouldn’t hesitate to back-off from the relationship. “It is better to say no initially, rather than the marriage not working later,” she said.
She also said that marriages are about two people not only loving each other but also living together for the rest of their lives. And for it to work out, one should give each other time and accept them as they are.
