For her new campaign with MINI Countryman, Kareena Kapoor Khan offers a clear upgrade on what is a very traditional pantsuit, except with a detail that you’ll want to copy asap.
In the photos shared on social media, Kareena is seen in Dries Van Noten’s pinstripe two-piece in a deep burgundy that reads almost chocolate in certain light. Marking the suit are soft lapels, lightly structured shoulders and a blazer that ends at the hip. A matching belt with silver eyehole hardware cinches the waist without interrupting the monotone. Worn head to toe in the same shade, it is as corporate-core and chic as it gets.
The detail that makes it really stick is underneath. Instead of the blouse that the suit was designed with, Kareena layers the look over a dusty-mauve off-shoulder tulle corset from Zara. It’s tucked neatly into the trousers, its upper hem suggesting a bustier’s structure without overstating it, and features a contrasting fabric combination in brown and pink. This simple combination takes the look from corpcore to sultry, making it ever more interesting.
The rest stays clean. Kareena keeps her hair pulled back tight and opts for nude makeup, strong contour, and cat-eye frames. She completes the look with black open-toe heels.
