Noida International Airport, which became operational on June 15, 2026, is set to transform regional travel with excellent rail connectivity.

Catching a flight from Noida International Airport may soon become much easier without relying entirely on cars, taxis or buses. As India’s newest aviation hub expands its operations, plans are underway to transform it into a major multi-modal transport centre where passengers can seamlessly switch between flights and trains.

Noida International Airport, which became operational on June 15, 2026, is set to transform regional travel with excellent rail connectivity. Two major rail projects are planned to include direct stops at the airport, promising faster and more convenient access from Delhi, the National Capital Region (NCR), and cities across North and Eastern India. This development marks a significant step in making Noida Airport a well-integrated transport hub.

While the railway station at the airport is still under development, here’s a look at the train services that are planned and how they could transform travel to and from Noida International Airport.

Which Trains Will Directly Connect To Noida Airport?

Two major rail projects have been proposed to provide direct connectivity to Noida International Airport:

Ghaziabad-Jewar Namo Bharat (RRTS) corridor

The proposed Ghaziabad-Jewar Namo Bharat corridor is designed to significantly reduce travel time across the National Capital Region.

The rapid rail line will connect Ghaziabad, Greater Noida and Jewar, making it possible to reach the airport in around 40 to 50 minutes from Ghaziabad. The corridor will also improve access for commuters travelling from Delhi, Noida and neighbouring NCR cities through future interchanges with metro and regional rail networks.

The corridor is expected to feature 12 stations, including Ghaziabad, Ghaziabad South, Greater Noida West (Sector IV and II), Knowledge Park V, Surajpur, Pari Chowk, Ecotech VI, Dankaur, YEIDA North (Sector 18), YEIDA Central (Sector 21), and Noida International Airport. Once operational, this link will offer seamless connectivity for daily commuters and air travellers alike.

The Noida Airport railway station will also integrate with existing systems like Noida Metro’s Aqua Line, Delhi Metro’s Red Line, and the YEIDA Central-Sector 21 station, creating a multi-modal transport experience.

Delhi-Varanasi High-Speed Bullet Train corridor

The proposed Delhi-Varanasi High-Speed Rail Corridor is expected to include a station at Noida International Airport.

Once operational, the bullet train will connect the airport with major cities across Uttar Pradesh and beyond, including destinations such as Varanasi, Lucknow, Prayagraj and Ayodhya, while also providing a high-speed link to Delhi. The project is expected to make the airport an important gateway for travellers across northern India rather than only serving Delhi-NCR residents.

This route is also expected to have a stop at Noida International Airport. It will connect the airport to major cities in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and eastern India, including Mathura, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Varanasi, Buxar, Ara, and Patna.

What This Means for Travellers

These rail connections will make Noida Airport highly accessible for passengers arriving from or departing to different parts of India. Business travellers, tourists heading to the Taj Mahal circuit, or those exploring spiritual destinations like Varanasi will benefit immensely from reduced road congestion and faster transfers.

The developments align with India’s broader push for efficient, sustainable transport infrastructure. While exact timelines for full operations are yet to be finalised, these projects signal a bright future for seamless travel in the NCR region.

Both projects will have stations integrated with the airport, allowing passengers to reach the terminal without depending solely on road transport.

Travel times to Noida Airport are expected to be significantly reduced with the introduction of new rail lines. The proposed Ghaziabad-Jewar Namo Bharat corridor aims to cut travel time to approximately 40 to 50 minutes from Ghaziabad.
