Teddi Mellencamp has revealed how her new “older” partner has been supporting her amid her cancer diagnosis.

The 44-year-old former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star — who was diagnosed with melanoma in 2022 and revealed in 2025 that it had progressed to stage four cancer — opened up about the new romance during a recent episode of her podcast, Two Ts In A Pod, with fellow Bravo star Tamara Judge.

Mellencamp said she’s gone on 10 dates with someone, whom she wouldn’t name on the podcast, and is “taking things slow.” As the relationship has developed, Judge asked Mellencamp how her partner deals with her cancer diagnosis.

“He’s pretty good. He’s a relatively, like, positive and logical person in general,” she responded. “He’s older than I am. But the thing that I like the most about him is he makes me laugh.”

Mellencamp said her partner is very considerate of how she physically feels when they’re out, since she’s undergoing immunotherapy. She added that after they recently went to dinner at Craig’s in West Hollywood, he asked her if she wanted to stay out longer, which she felt up for.

“There’s another little place like speak easy or whatever they call it. And he’s like, ‘Do you want to go there or are you too tired from your immunotherapy?’” she recalled. “And I was like, ‘I actually have enough energy right now.’ Then I woke up this morning, and I felt like hell.”

She shared that she and her partner are both parents, noting that he has children who recently graduated from high school. Mellencamp has three younger children — Slate, 12, Cruz, 11, and Dove, six — whom she shares with ex Edwin Arroyave.

“This is the part that’s so weird when you’re dating and you’re both parents, like, how are you ever supposed to get past first base?” she asked. “His kids are older, and they live there all the time. My kids are little, and they’re here all the time.”

Mellencamp was diagnosed with melanoma in 2022. Her condition advanced to stage four in 2025 and metastasized to her lungs and brain. She then underwent major brain surgery that removed four tumors.

In October, she told Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania on her Two T’s in a Pod podcast that she had “no detectable cancer.”

Mellencamp added that she will remain on immunotherapy treatments for another year. “I’m still going to be having days when I’m feeling sick and stuff because I still am in immunotherapy, so I’m still fighting because you have to be,” she explained.

“I’m not considered in remission or anything like that,” she noted. “The way the [doctors] said it works, it’s like one year, then two years, then at three years you’re allowed to be considered… in remission.”

Mellencamp previously spoke about dating amid her cancer diagnosis. During an episode of her podcast in July 20225, she hit back at critics who said that she should only be worried about her “kids and staying alive,” not going on dates.
