US military air activity saw a notable spike, with multiple transport and aerial refuelling aircraft heading from Europe to the Middle East, according to flight-tracking platform Flightradar24.
Data indicates an unusual surge in movements, with at least 12 military transport planes, primarily C-17A Globemaster III aircraft, en route to the region, some departing from bases in Germany. Each aircraft can carry up to 77 tonnes of cargo and around 100 personnel.
In addition, several Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft were observed operating in and around Israel, providing mid-air refuelling support as part of the increased military activity.
