Kate Hudson and Hugh Jackman’s new film Song Sung Blue may have received love and support from fans, but the real-life son of the performer does not seem happy about it.

The Craig Brewer-directed movie, released earlier in December, chronicles the story of a couple, Claire and the late Mike Sardina, who performed together in a Neil Diamond tribute band called “Lightning & Thunder.”

In a recent chat with Daily Mail, the 41-year-old son of Mike, Michael Sardina, claimed that his father’s legacy has been ruined by the musical drama.

He remarked that his father would be “rolling in his grave right now” due to the film.

“Everybody thinks it’s such a wonderful film, it’s so touching. It’s all lies,” Michael declared.

“And it steals all the hard work that my father put in his entire life…,” he continued.

It is pertinent to mention that Mike shared his son, Michael Jr. and his daughter, Angelina Sardina, with his previous partner.

The siblings expressed their many issues with the film, including Michael Jr.’s absence from the film and getting paid less to consult for the film.

“Every interview that those monsters have been on on national television don’t even mention my existence at all, even though I was the most prevalent force in my father’s life, even when I wasn’t in Wisconsin, because I’m his only son,” he said.

Whereas their stepmother, Claire, and her children from a previous marriage, Rachel and Dayna, have shown support for the movie.
