Sadie Sink has offered a rare glimpse into how her transition from Stranger Things to the Spider-Man universe felt surprisingly familiar.
For those unversed, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is slated to be released in theaters on July 31, 2026.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Sink revealed that she learned she would be joining the Spider-Verse while she was still filming the final season of Netflix’s Stranger Things.
“Oh, it was crazy,” Sink shared.
“Spider-Man has always been my favorite. I love Spider-Man. I love Tom’s Spider-Man, especially,”
“To be a fan of something and then join it is a familiar feeling for me, because I was a fan of Stranger Things before I joined the show, but I was super excited about what they had planned.”
The actress also noted that the project holds personal significance as it reunited her with director Destin Daniel Cretton.
“I also worked with the director, Destin Daniel Kretten, in one of the first movies I ever did when I was 14, so it’s kind of a full-circle moment,” she said.
“I had an amazing time working on that film.”
While Sink is keeping plot details tightly under wraps for now, she hinted that fans can expect more down the line.
“I can’t wait to talk about it more. There’s so much I want to share,” she added.
Before concluding, Sink joked that juggling secrecy across both franchises has become second nature.
“That’s why I feel like keeping Stranger Things secrets are kind of easy because I have so many Spider-Man secrets I’m sitting on that feel even more secretive.”
